INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES

WHERE FUNCTION AND STYLE MEET

 

At Emily Hughes Interiors, we provide hourly consultation ranging from $150-$300/hour, depending on the assigned designer’s level of experience and the scope of your unique project.

WHAT TO EXPECT

INITIAL CONSULTATION + INFORMATION GATHERING

PROJECT EXECUTION

We start a project by meeting in your home or business for one hour or less to take photos of your space, measure, review your design needs and style direction.

Your preferences on the extent of our design consultation, your project scope, preferred design aesthetic and assigning a designer with the most appropriate level of expertise will be taken into consideration and discussed following the initial meeting.

After your initial consultation, you will receive a custom interior design proposal. This proposal will provide our best estimate of how much design consultation time your project will require, along with a list of the services we will provide and how many revisions are included.

 

Upon approval of your custom interior design proposal, your interior designer(s) will present you with 3D visuals, 2D drawings, concept board visuals and product/finish samples for your project.

Initial consultation + information gathering appointments are *$150 plus tax for clients within a 30-mile radius of North Liberty, Iowa. Due to high demand, we currently have a waitlist, so the first availability we would have to meet is 30-60 days from your inquiry. Please note that during the process of design and client collaboration, most designs evolve, and your needs can change. If we feel we are reaching the end of the consultation time covered by your design invoice, but your project requires time to meet your needs, then we will reach out. At that point, we will notify you as to the amount of time spent on your design to date, what still needs to be accomplished and how much additional time and deposit are requested. Keep in mind, if you spend $5,000 or more on product from Mix Home Mercantile, then the portion of the design fee dedicated to sourcing our furnishings is credited toward your purchase.

Good design takes time! We value all of our clients, past, present and future. Please note that due to high demand, we currently have a 45-60 day waitlist for new clients.

The first step for new clients is to fill out this form. Once submitted, you'll be redirected to a page with next steps plus a link to our new client questionnaire.

Once submitted, we will review your answers and be in touch within 45-60 days to schedule our initial meeting at your home. This first meeting has a flat fee of $150 and is an information-gathering session. We meet you, measure your space, take photos, review your design needs and any architectural or builder blueprints that may be available, along with your saved design inspiration images.

Following that meeting, we will be in touch with an interior design proposal that addresses your project scope and will request a deposit for design services to get your project started.
