Parade Home Staging Project | Stonegate Custom Homes
The Emily Hughes Interiors team, led by interior designer Megan Hanus, staged this beautiful home on Buckingham Place in Marion for the Cedar Rapids Parade of Homes in the fall of 2022. Megan managed the process with the Stonegate Custom Homes owners, Andy and Trisha Becker, and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
The work was primarily focused on furnishing and staging the living room, a small office area off of the living room, dining room, kitchen, and pantry areas with furniture and accessories from Mix Home Mercantile.

Megan Hanus
Interior Designer, Megan Hanus, graduated from the accredited interior design program at the University of Northern Iowa. Well before her college years, Megan was very creative – a trait she took over from her mother, who is a photographer.
Megan worked as a commercial designer for six years before switching over to the residential side of interior design. She loves the technology aspects that help her with the design process and enjoys keeping up with the latest interior design programs and technology.
Her two personal favorite design styles are Mid-Century Modern and Modern Traditional but enjoys working with her clients on whatever their personal style may be. She also loves to find design inspiration by traveling, following talented designers on Instagram, and through fashion and nature.
In Megan’s free time, she enjoys golfing and traveling with her husband, JJ.

Good design takes time! We value all of our clients, past, present and future. Please note that due to high demand, we currently have a 45-60 day waitlist for new clients.
The first step for new clients is to fill out this form. Once submitted, we will send you a link to our new client questionnaire.
Once you've completed the new client questionnaire, we will review your answers and be in touch within 45-60 days to schedule our initial meeting at your home. This first meeting has a flat fee of $150 and is an information-gathering session. We meet you, measure your space, take photos, review your design needs and any architectural or builder blueprints that may be available, along with your saved design inspiration images.
Following that meeting, we will be in touch with an interior design proposal that addresses your project scope and will request a deposit for design services to get your project started.
